Mastering The Art & Science of Training Plan Creation with Isaiah Newkirk of FasCat Coaching

Join Isaiah Newkirk for a one-hour exploration of the art and science of training plan creation. Newkirk is a coach at FasCat Coaching, director and performance manager for Pro Continental team Project Echelon, and a former professional cyclist. Coach Newkirk will explore how coaches can choose the right training approach for athletes who have more time to train vs. a time-crunched schedule. He shares different scenarios coaches can face and offers ways to “make space for training,” partly by deploying different methods of periodization.

Event Details

This event is part of USA Cycling’s CEU program and complements the 4 CEU online course The Art & Science of Training Plan Creation. Completion of that course is recommended but not required to attend this live event.

USA Cycling will award 1 CEU toward coaching license renewal for coaches who register for events through etrainu and have attendance verified by Fast Talk Labs. CEUs for live online events will be automatically reported to USA Cycling after attendance verification is completed.

At this time, there are no completion certificates offered for live online events.

Registration is open to coaches from any sport. Check with your certification licensor to see if you can earn CEUs from this course.
Visit the Fast Talk Labs page on etrainu by clicking the button below.
Log into your existing account or create a new account.
On the left side of your screen, click “Training Events” to see the calendar of upcoming events.
Select the event you would like to attend and click “enroll” to complete checkout and register.
A few days before the event, Fast Talk Labs will make the online meeting link available to registered coaches. The meeting link will also become available through etrainu in “Training Events“.
